Richard Moran

Richard Moran is a native New Mexican and lives in Albuquerque with his wife and two daughters. Mr. Moran graduated magna cum laude from the University of New Mexico in 2000 with a dual Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science and Professional Writing. Prior to attending the University Of New Mexico School Of Law, Mr. Moran worked with the Legislative Finance Committee in Santa Fe. In 2004, Mr. Moran graduated with Clinical Honors and the Wall Street Journal Award for Excellence in Business Law from the UNM School of Law with his Juris Doctor.

Richard Moran’s main areas of practice are criminal defense, civil and personal injury law. Mr. Moran’s criminal cases range from petty misdemeanors to capital crimes. Prior to joining Ahmad Assed and Associates, he worked as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Albuquerque with the Safe City Strike Force, and he was an associate with Sanchez, Mowrer, and Desiderio, P.C. Mr. Moran is currently a member of the New Mexico Supreme Court’s Rules of Professional Conduct Committee, Treasurer for the Criminal Law Section of the New Mexico State Bar, and was a member of the H. Verle Payne Inn of Courts.
